What Type of Timber ??

What Type of Timber ??

Does anyone out there have any idea of what type Timber this is ??.
It's from my trusty recycled Piano, which was made in England in the 1950's, I'm thinking Oak ?? of some sort or possibly Maple ??

I agree that the bottom especially, looks like red or white oak.   But I checked my book, "Fine Woods of The World" and it is OZwood.

I think it's oak. White Oak. The little worm shapes in the lower photo is the tell tale.
