Comment by Doug Thorsvik on June 12, 2021 at 4:23am: Thanks for noticing the color connection Uncle John, strictly accidental! This is the longest scale length I have ever played. As you know yardsticks and plastic frets are light, so it’s not hefty just LONG!

I’m pretty used to my 20.1” scale chugger and this neck is even longer than the short scale basses I have made for myself at 28.25”, so it’s got a different feel. Those long fishing line strings are quite a contrast to short steel string strings and have a tone all their own. I’ll be putting the new chugger through the paces and see how it goes. It looks promising so far!
