This old fiddle was found by an antique/ fossil collecting friend that does all my tattoos.. I traded him one of my new builds for it. Not sure on its age , but it is the oldest fiddle I have ever seen. The tail piece is from an animal bone.. thinking Civil War era??? Any input from any of you would be great!

I agree on it being a treasure - and a good trade.  I would be tempted to try making it a playable cbg wihout changing the look.  Maybe a 2 string.

its at least 80 to 100 years old, lots of them pop up on ebay, keep it...its a treasure!
