My first attempt at a Ukulele, a 23inch Scale Low 'G' tuned Ukulele built for Christmas Pressent for my Girlfriend.

Looks good. I am a builder and not a player; it looks like you have used standard guitar strings? I am just about to string a 17 in scale Ukulele/ Guitar made for a computer hard drive, but unsure what strings/tuning to use. I was thinking of either standard guitar DGBE or GCEA (using DGBE as advised by Lane Martin). Any suggestions?
