Yep, that Scott aka Farmer Ted was explaining to me how to me how to wire in an on/on switch so you can switch back and forth between the radio and the amp.
Sounds like it's probably a good idea to change the old electrolytic capacitors anyways. It runs on 4 x AA batteries anyways, so if the capacitors die on me it'll just stop working

Silvertone from Sears.  Hope it comes out good.  I would be afraid I would mess up a good old radio.  Some folks have been able to keep the radio working and have an amp too.   Beyond my skills...

Thanks, Uncle! That's the 1962 Silvertone Medalist I bought to use for an amp for the License Plate Guitar. Have to get an on/on switch, a 1/4" mono jack & a soldering gun & try converting her. Meanwhile been listening to the AM and Marine Band
