Thanx Ghostbuttons, I decided to go with bamboo toothpicks & skewer for the nut this time, only cost me a dollar & change at an Asian store? I’ve also used Bamboo chopsticks for nut material with great results? Cheers :)

- BrianQ you’re spot on about toothpick fretting. I’ve built several ukes with toothpick frets and have oversanded to the point of uselessness. Look forward to seeing more of this one.

After shaping & sanding they’ll be a lot lower, my only problem with toothpicks, is ya gotta be careful cuz they sand down a little too fast? Cheers uncle :)

Big ole frets. I am gonna try one with tooth pick frets some time. Nice looking neck and scooped out picking spot. My daddy liked him some fried Spam now and then.
