Shane Speal presents a new run of handmade cigar box guitars built in his York, PA shop. This is an electric cigar box guitar in Speal's classic "Catfish" style.

This auction is for a 3-string, fretless (fret markers are woodburned on) slide cigar box guitar. The body is made from a huge old Torcedor box that contains the original scratches and wear. I guess you could call this a "relic" guitar. The huge box projects a great, booming sound. Killer acoustic player but still wired for electric as well Details:

Poplar neck. 23" scale
Played with a slide but with low enough action to play as fretless
Electrified with an internal piezo disc pickup.
Single soundhole on the side w/brass ring/screen soundhole cover
Eyebolt bridge and stove bolt nut.
