Muloin, Pierre Decap “PEPI” - Passed away Tuesday, October 11th after a short battle with esophageal cancer. He leaves his wife and best friend for more than thirty years, Valerie Boughner Cole, whom he loved and adored. Pierre was a great cigar box guitar maker, his skill reached all around Canada and the United States. The group Cigar Box Nation especially gave him enjoyment and inspiration. His friends and neighbors knew him as the guardian of Hincks Street and saw him outside often, stopping to chat. His neighbors meant a lot to him, and they were his support in time of need. He also leaves behind his mother Madeleine, sisters Lise and Chantal. He is predeceased by his father Olivier. He is dearly missed.

A celebration of life will take place in the future, date to be determined. A private family interment will take place. Personal condolences may be made at www.smithleroy.com.

Thanks, big thanks, to CBN and Shane for posting this pic in a blog.

I kind of thought I would never get to see Pick's face or know his real name. I am sure thankful for this.

He looks kind and gentle. God bless him and his wife, Val.

Rest in Peace "Anonymous Pick". A friendly soul who reached out to me when I first joined CBN.

A fantastic builder, artist and musician, he will be missed around here.

I love that drawing you posted, AGP.  It is my screen saver and I had it photo printed on a coffee (tea in my case)cup.  I think old Dave Lynas would have seen this face and done a cool art with it.

I hope to remember Picks' creativity, generosity and wit.

Many Thanks for CBN Shane & Uncle John, for this post, and revealing the true identity of the Enigmatic "Anonymous Pick".

And Unc, Dave did do a drawing of the Pick, back in 2000 playing a Swampy, and if you look closely at the outer edges of the Seagull, I think you can see some long hair and beard poking out. ;-)

Thanks for the post Uncle John. Pick’s distinctive Swamp Witch is certainly an iconic CBG, recognizable by everyone here, and it’s fitting to see the face and name behind it. His presence will be missed at CBN.

I’m so sad to hear about the loss of The Anonymous Picker. Until today I never knew his real name. He was so creative and such a great supporter of everyone here. I will definitely miss him.

I was thinking that if Dave Lynas was still here, he would draw a great pic of Pick and probably have him playing a swampy.
