yes, I'd take the pedal for that reason even if I wasn't going to use it for looping....and yep definitely more positive than negative : -)

Sounds like you've got the gear well sorted..two inputs one output on the pedal...got it.

My advice was based on personal experience..the more you do of street busking, the more different reactions you'll get. Some people are just miserable grumpy f***ers, and you learn to try and not let it get to you...as you say, generally there's far more positive reaction than negative.

as there's only one input on the Cube I plugged my mic and instrument into my loop pedal, then that just has one output, so that then went into the Cube. Yeah I was thinking I needed the street cube but this way I don't need it!

Only thing is any effect used on the amp will affect the vocals as well as the instrument. Got round that by taking a distortion pedal and putting the CBG into that first so I could have distorted guitar when I needed it and still keep the vocals clean.

It's hard deciding what to take..the balance between keeping it simple and making it sound as good as possible.

Lol, yeah you nearly did put me off..I hadn't thought of all those things that could go wrong, but on the whole it's best to be forewarned I think.

The only negative things were an old lady walking past and saying "it's awfull"..though she could probably hear me playing my overdriven Diddley Bow combined with the Bagpipes so she had a point!!...also one guy put his hand over his ear as he went past! Much more positive stuff though : -)

Neat piece of budget kit the mic...did you plug that onto the rear 'aux' input of the Cube? Sorry to be techy..but I'm always interested to see what can be done.  I've pretty much given up on my Pignose Hog, as the combination of the failing rechargeable batteries and a replacement speaker always seem to give me a distorted sound, and my other rig of a 75watt amp plus a batterypack/inverter is so much bulk and weight, that I'm goign to try my Microcube next time for busking. I've seen people using the StreetCube, which looks and sounds  pretty good, but they are very expensive...you'd need a good few sessions of busking to get your money back for one of those.

Hope I didnt put you off to much about the drunks etc, but you do need to be ready for anything on the street...having 'backup' with you is always useful, as a bit of extra confidence and to distract or defuse things if things go a bit wayward.

Great job..keep on keeping on.

oh and btw John after what you told me I was a bit worried when a drunk/drugged up guy staggered over..thought he was going to ask for/take some money, but after having a good look at the CBG he fumbled around in his pockets and got some money out to put in the hat : -)

no it has a wire. Can't see them on eBay anymore but this is what it is  http://www.images2.co.uk/Sound_Equipment/Sorted_By_Brand.Eagle_Soun...

It's pretty good...messed up a bit yesterday though. I couldn't work out why there was feedback when I turned up the mic and I couldn't get it as loud as I wanted. When I got home I realised the gain was turned up on the Cube..oh well you live and learn!
