Tap stomper side
I have two piezos in the stomp block. The one directly under the tap sole is held with foamie double stick tape. The one under the heel is held with hot glue.

Forgot to say, I need to rewire the piezos as I find I don't get as much click as I'd have expected. This one would definitely work a lot better with a regular mic set next to it.

You can but it's not obvious as the tap soles were designed for the dancer to do spins. So they are unstable. But I can do a click-stomp type beat with a bit of practice.
Strangely, in order to do that you need a surprising amount of concentration.
