Some raw cigar boxes

Some raw cigar boxes

I live in New Zealand and these boxes are difficult to come by. Got some over the weekend from a shop in town, ut the quality is low. No solid wood in these babies I'm afraid. Regardless I am planning to make some ukes as these are quite small.

I've gotten some great sound out of laminate boxes... granted, that's great CBG sound, not great, say, Taylor-couple-thousand-dollar-acoustic sound... but that's the point, right? Just build 'em, they'll sound good!
