1/8 inch plastic serves as the pickguard. Don't remember if it's Lucite or acrylic or what. Humbucker my father-in-law took out of a fiberglass Switch guitar he upgraded. Sounds pretty good through my 1 watt portable Danelectro amp. Tomorrow I might take it to my father-in-law's house to hear it through a proper setup.
