Sock Monkey Uke
This is my first attempt at a resonator instrument. The Wife says it looks like a sock monkey.
I make a banjo style bridge that buzzes a little if I play it hard and string bending doesn't really work well on this uke. I'm going to make a biscuit bridge and see if it works any better.
But putting that aside it really does sound like a resonator. Not bad for a cookie tin.

The buzz sounds really tinny so I assume that its the cone. I'm going to try sanding the top of the bridge like you suggested.

Nice Uke, and it does look like a sock monkey!
Are you sure it's the bridge that buzzes? I had a little fret buzz on the Nylgut-strung mandolin I made, and raising the bridge a bit fixed it. Might be worth sanding the top of the bridge to a bit of a peak so the strings are resting on a very small area?
