Another experiment! 23” scale length, 300 and 130 lb test fishing line strings, tuned GD, light blue components are 3D printed, Rockstar Aluminum cans for body. Clear labels for chord references. Very quiet, was hoping for more volume. No plans for a pickup; will end up repurposing the neck for another test body.

You could be right on that Brian! Another contributing factor is probably the fishing line strings which don’t have the tension to create as much vibration through the neck.

I think the gaps between the cans is creating your loss of volume, they would pick up more vibration if they were touching?
