A couple of fun, fast projects. Went to a Flea Market and bought two First Act acoustic guitars with the bridges pulling up for $2 each. Necks were straight and included the tuners. Used a stainless steel dog dish for the resonator on the smaller one and an aluminum angel food cake tin on the other. With a spatula head for the tailstock, and some bathtub drain covers for the soundhole covers, the original bridge on one and a threaded rod bridge on the other, plus a single coild pickup on each, I've got $20 each into them. Do they play like a 1931 National? No. But they were a LOT less expensive and they are electric. (Stainless steel reso sounds more like a banjo. Cheap fun!

Thanks Buesheart. These conversions are very easy to do, once you figure out where the bridge is supposed to go. Start to finish in an afternoon.
