Relic build for my friend Wes - Wes' is the lefty on the bottom

This was my most fun build by far. Friend Wes Carl had admired my Lord Clinton relic build. I had another box (actually, 2 more) and made him one ~setup for a left handed player.

The bottom of the lid was white and pretty and I asked my nation friends which side to use. The opinions were quite even. My wife said, "If he likes your red one, make his red too." That was the clincher. Red it is.

I sweated that it might not turn out. My righty model is an easy player and sounds good acoustic and electric. There are 1 or 2 videos up using it.

Wes' lefty seems the equal of the righty, only it is louder plugged in. I will keep it a week and do a small bit of tweaking. Lower the bass string a bit at the saddle, and decide if it needs string guides. Right now, it does not seem to.

Oh, the fretting. I set it up how I like mine set up. No 6th, 8th or 9th frets. The omitted 8 and 9 make doing a boogie thing very easy to do. See my video if you don't understand. And I just don't seem to use the 11th. Maybe someday I will learn to.

Thanks for looking and double thanks to those of you who gave an opinion on red or white.

Very cool.  I am left-handed, but I play guitar right-handed.  Maybe I should build myself a lefty and see if it improves my playing...
