Still, not as convenient as simply replacing one wire, though.  It was a good, quick little hack to use with this tailpiece setup, though.  Also adds a bit more "character" to it :)

Nice!  It won't be horrible changing a string down the road - - you just have to loosen them all first.  Not ideal, but not horrible.

The balls on the ends of the strings were almost too small to fit snugly against the tines, so I improvised on the spot and threaded them through a small nail to hold them in place.  Seems to be working pretty well.  Going to be inconvenient when changing strings at a later date, but as usual, I'll burn that bridge when I get to it.
