Yeh...I'm thinking I might leave em out.

Save the pots for another project maybe.

Well thanks for all the help so far !

checked out the circuit diagrams 407bug, very useful thankyou.

I think all I need to do is re wire the circuit from fresh, feel confident enough to do this now.

The anonymous pick....yes some wires i.e earths are missing.

But ive done as you said and wired the pup straight to the jack..and Im so happy it sounds clean, responsive no crackles at all..So pleased...its a go'er!!

Cant wait to get the pots inline and fit it to a CBG

Thanks again both :-)

If you get a low output
Try adding a bigger magnet under the plate
If you google cigar circuits you should get the idea
Looks like the front pickup may have been cut out of the circuit
So may work as is.
If not it may be you need to
Get an earth wire from the jack socked to close the circuit
There are some useful postings on this site that may help.

yes  your  2   wires  is  normal .

by the looks  of things  ,   you  should be able to  attach   that loose  black  wire  to  the other  black    loose wire . and  test  it  .   its there  2  wires  insinde that red    wire  going to  the  jack   ?  and is it connected  ?

another  option  is   to just cut out   the tone and vol  ,   and   just wire that pickup  straight to     the jack  .

great way to  test it  too,   before    farking around  for nothin

tip,    if it sounds  a bit   hissy   when you  connect it  to the jack  ,  switch the wires around  .

that  vintage  pup  would sound awesome  in a cbg  . hope its  not  dead .

Thanks 407bug...I agree very close.

My only concern now is the pickup only seems to have two wires coming from it, black and red...is this normal?

Need to find a wire'ing diagram so i can rewire it to the pots again..any ideas would be great as i dont have a clue were to start !

Sounds sad but im so excited about this pickup !!

the anonymouse pick...thanks to you also...ive had a good look and cant see any letters or marks on the back.

Even better from the 60's should give a nice raw sound and would do well in a CBG ?

Pick it not quite dead on but very, close my tiesco circuit has those pot tab/arrows.

note the tab cut aways on the base plate. 60/70's tiesco/kay?
