So that raises a question - wheres the best place to get a piezo disk?

 

I don't know about you guys, but these days the radio shacks around here don't sell anything besides rc cars and cell phones.

I looked high and wide for a tea chest when I was making this one. Kind of hard to find those here in the states.

 

Actually, it wasn't real easy to find a metal wash tub.

 

I was thinking I might try to electrify it - it doesn't really make a lot of volume as it is.

Reminds me of England in the late 50s and the skiffle groups. We had a similar instrument. It was a broom stick and an upside-down tea chest. Lonnie Donegan was a big inspiration for a lot of budding musicians.
