Rebuild of a rebuild.
This guitar started off with a different top and a cooking pot lid. I thought it was pretty cool until a I built a wood top big tenor and it sounded louder and better.
Then it was a Lowe cone reso - but that first rebuild was difficult to modify for the cone and some of the top wood was too thick. it never sounded as good as I expected it to.
This rebuild was more than just a new top. I had to raise and reset the neck. I replaced a bass mag pup with a rod piezo and equalizer.
First impressions are good after first stringing it up (with the same strings as with the Lowe reso).

No wonder this one has the Uncle John signature look. It has the “improved” mods and painting fixeruppers in every area. The Masterpiece.
