I,ve made a lot of them. Over 100 by now. About one a week. I,ve got a passion for it. The old crates have good tone wood. You'll like it Gary.

I've got a couple wine crates I figure can bee good for several box CBG's ("crate box guitars"?)

Check out some old crate wood sometime. The graphics on the old crates is usually fun and the sound they produce is bright. You can make a big box with the width of the wood. 4 inch sides, 8 inch top if you laminate two pieces together. I use the thicker end wood for the shoulder and tail. I've been seeing nice crates in the antique shops for about $20.
