Glad you like it Uncle John! I have not seen it done on a cigar box guitar. The first cut was the hardest, after that, no problem.

Thanks Kale! I like the aesthetic proportions on most cigar boxes better than that of a typical license plate, so I figured this approach was worth a try. It will be my “go to” guitar for the time being.

The idea is not completely original Alan. I’ve seen Telecaster style electric guitars with angle license plate pickguards and thought they looked pretty cool. Turns out I can do the same kinda thing on a cigar box. A 23” scale length neck has become my go to; not too long and not too short.

Kool, like that cutout, the bridge would have warped sitting atop the plate eventually, so you saved yourself on this one!
