You are correct Andries! The plate is essentially a pickguard, the bridge is intentionally on the wood top. I’m pleased with the sound unplugged and plugged in. It’s got steel strings and I’ve been playing fishing line strings for quite awhile now, so I’m getting used to the brighter tone. I wanted the license plate look with cigar box dimensions/proportions and this build allowed me to do it.

The license plate has got a hole different perpous in this way its more like a pickup gard , then a rezzonator,!
does she sound as good as she looks?
