I agree.,.,a little tight for a 6'er.,.,i'm sure those viola's will work great.,.,,I have a cello around here too, but it may become a junior upright bass at some point.,.,you do nice work.,.,can't wait to see the finished product.,.,I found the chin-rest from mine fit a cigarbox well as a hand rest next to the bridge.,cheers.,.,

Jerry, I see that you went with a longer fretboard more like the violin fingerboard. I almost did that and think I will on the next one. Thank you. I was a bit nervous about how it would turn out. This violin was pretty beat up which is why I chose to go with the worn out look. Yes, this is a 4/4 violin body. I do plan to make a 6 string as well but that would be a bit tight on the violin body. It is possible but would be tight. I have 2 full size viola's that will fit a six string comfortably. I also have 2 1/4 cello's that I plan to use for 6 string baritone acoustic's.

Thanks for posting.,.,I like the relic look.,.,cool neck.,.,.I made mine a 3 string, but this looks tempting as a 6'er.,.,.,is that a 4/4 violin body.,.,??
