Thanks Dave! The oak neck is from some wood that a friend of mine and I ran thru a sawmill, got the trees from his farm in Northern Iowa.

Oak was next in the pile sooooooo........what the hell ;-)

I wanted to stain the neck and oak takes stain way better than maple.

That is just about a number 10 neck and wood tone/finish.   Back to oak, I see.
