I'm taking this down to the natural maple finish, because I got a great chance to attempt a proper restoration. It was originally white, but the white ones just aren't as pretty as solid rock maple, and each of these guitars was a custom order so there's some leeway on what this guitar can be while still being close to factory options. The serial number says very little about the guitar, I have no idea why. Carvin just puts numbers on their builds with no rhyme or reason.

Looking forward to seeing the renovation on this one.

I'm glad you think so, because I will keep posting as I go.  Honestly, I expect it to be uneventful until I get to rewiring it. The thing has dual humbuckers with dual volume controls, coil splitters (however that works), a 3 way switch, and a tone pot.  I am gonna have to learn to finish it.

C: I couldn't help myself. Just the thought of letting it keep that rough, purple, black, and silver paint made me not want to buy original 11 pole pickups. And I am keeping this one. For sure.
