I think adding a fret board would feel awkward. I had intended on it originally but changed my mind at the last minute. I may give it a try though later on. If nothing else I could pull it apart and mill a 1/4" off the neck to accommodate. I agree with reducing the frets, I used 22 on a 23.5" scale, the second I used 20 on a 24.5" scale. If I use a fret board I will change the scale to 24.75 and maybe 14 frets. I think it would have a great sound then.

How thick is the neck?   Can you put a 1/4 inch fret board on it?  Tell the truth, I often quit fretting mine at 12.

Thank you UJ, I agree. My next guitar will be another Arturo box, I'm really looking forward to the sound. I messed up the frets on this one, its good down to the 12th and then it goes bad. It was my first and I knew nothing. It will be a nice wall piece, lol.

Nice Arturo.  One of the best sounding boxes.

Thank you Uke! I have built another now and am beginning work on my third. Its amazing how much I've learned as I go. I have also built a couple of amps now and will be moving on to building some effects pedals next. I may be coming down with an addiction! Lol

You did a great job for your first box.  The more you make the better your get!  Keep it up.
