“Indy ‘62” – Tin Box License Plate Guitar (Lo-Tone Resonator). The body is what I believe to be is a 1940-50’s “Dainty Dinah” toffee tin which I scuffed over with an abrasive foam pad to bring out the relief scroll-type design. The license plate is 1962 vintage (same as me). Both items are naturally aged and a little rusty. Neck is poplar (stained and “aged”). Bridge/saddle is an old window screw lock beside two small calibre brass shell volume/tuner knobs. The pickup is a 7.6k Warman vintage S-coil. Tuning is Low D – Low A – Med D. Need to make sure I don’t get tetanus when playing.

"Beeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful Bob", loads of character, with everything to like about it, love the Old Plate, the way you scuffed the Tin, the Bridge, the stained and aged Neck, Heck!, it's all good, "Well Done"  :-)

You're right Unc J.  I'm glad you love it.  I haven't built anything for a while.  Maybe my voice may sound better if I did sing that way.

Thanks Keith.  On first pluck it sounded muffly and buzzed like a bad'un, but after slipping a couple of thin pieces of copper under the saddle... chiming like a good'un!

Love it. Better get your tetanus shot or learn to sing with you jaw clenched.
