I will definatly search them out. I aim to try and learn some of my favourite artists tunes. The modern music played on a Diddley Bow will be quite cool i think. I have just been sat upstairs now 'jammin' away. Its great! I have the 2,3,5,7,8,10,12,14,15,17,19,20 & 22 frets marked with recessed nails in the diddley bow. These are the full notes for two octaves. The 3rd octave is right over the pick up. :D

You are on the right track.   In The Pines  and You Got To Move are too good and not too hard diddley songs.  You can search them out to hear them.   Rolling and Tumbling is good and easy.    I think it will help you to mark 3, 5 7 and possibly 12 in a way you can very easily see them.

Thank you so much. It started between me and my brother in law but he quickly lost interest where as my interest keeps on growing. The string is an A string from a pack of guitar strings and is tuned to A. I have added a few more close up pictures now. I have marked on the Diddley Bow the full note positions and 2 full octaves using nails and the 12th fret position is marked using 2 nails. The playing isn't too terrible. I can't play the same thing twice though haha. But have learnt Amazing Grace and some nursery rhymes for my daughter :)

Wow..   Nice job for a tenth or first build.  Seems like not many folks start out with a lap style build.  But why not.   How is the playing coming for you?   I like to sometimes hammer on the strings with a pencil or dowel instead of plucking the string with a pick or finger.   It will likely help you a lot in playing if you mark the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 12th frets in some manner.  On the side is okay.  I like to mark right where the sweet spot is.   Contact me if you need help knowing where to mark.

Thank you Uncle John! The pick up is a pre wired setup with the pots and jack already soldered on. It is a regular 6 strng pick up designed to go over the sound hole of an acoustic guitar. Thanks for your nice comment, its my first build.

Very nice.  I like the 4 and 6 string pickups mounted like that.   And the little control box is super good.
