Yep I wrapped some bike tube around it. The first one I did I had to redo the neck as I had the bridge too close to the pick up and it sounded banjo like. I've only just put it back together and now it's perfect.

It did turn out nice. I've been playing around with that style of pick up to use in my hubcap builds. They blend in well and sound really great. I'll try to get some video of it playing today but I'm not much of a player so we will see how it turns out.
