Wow that's so cool, nice head stock.....all you need is an art deco radio as as amp...(saw one one ebay as well )

Perhaps a back lit stained glass window in the body would go well?!..or pull out drinks drawer with crystal cut glasses...and wisky!....i' ve got a nice box that would go with this!

B, I had it sitting in black wood stain for about a week so I'm guessing the excess grease leached out then. So nope havnt had the staining happen but will keep it in mind. I usually dont put the nut on till after I have treated the wood tho.

Naz its not photo shopped taken on my phone camera with an HDD app - it takes three pics at different exposures and blends them for more detail - unfortunately if you move you get wonky bits like that. Nice pic up though.

With old bone I've used, some grease or something soaked out of it into the wood making it darker around it. Did that happen with yours?....though the wood on mine wasn't treated at all.
