Thank you, guys. Mark, this is curly maple. My daughter did most of the shaping, then we stained it dark brown. You can see the results in one of my albums. Gary, this is the gas can banjo you have seen at the last club meeting me and the girls were able to attend. :)

Hope it helps, Joe. The draw knife is for vey rough shaping. A rasp gets a lot of rough shaping done.
