Uncle John Its a telephone coil with mini NI mags and the bedwarmer came with the holes.The mount plate to the side of the pan seems to flex so will stregnthen inside with wood..tonight all being well..

Made this guitar a while ago, will give it an structural overhaul to keep better tune....`but it sounding cool..

Cool, Chris.  That patina and punched holes on the warmer sure are pretty.  Did you make the pickup?

Can you drill a hole in the neck and put a truss rod in like a banjo?  I'm not to knowledgeable about banjos but I've see some banjo makers putting truss rods in their necks

Cheers Ted....      the neck a bit wobbly for tuning... so still needs more work... you would think someone would have thought this might oneday become a guitar when they made it!.......(ok perhaps not)
