I was at our local landfill dump and saw this V6 GM engine cross flow manifold and thought that this would make a great practice amp.

Thanks Darryl, This one is a 5watt amp from Guitar Fuel, got it pre made up, you can get them DIY.

did you use a kit for the amp, or build circuit yourself? i am looking for something a little more powerful than the lm386 amps

I reckon this could have gone either way.... a guitar or an amp.  I guess I could get another manifold and make the Git to go with the amp.... accessorise Man style.  :o)

Cool Mick . You will be "Holden Court" when it's finished !

Big thumbs up on the Cat comment. My kids did the knocking over until they grew up and passed the baton to Miss Rosie ;-D

Thanks guys, since getting into CBG's and free style guitar building, I can't stop seeing the potential for normal everyday items to be used as parts for guitars and amps. I wonder if that can be classed as a syndrome.  :)

This one will be mounted on a cast iron industrial pedestal fan shaft and base. It will be a guitar practice amp and guitar stand holding 2 maybe 3 guitars hanging off it.     it should look pretty cool.  it has to be stable enough for the cat to not knock it over.  :)
