The intonation turned out great! I have it tuned like the bottom three strings of a regular at the moment. Maple neck, Wenge fret board, with a piezo rod in the bridge. I found the checkers box on e-bay for $5.00.

Comment by Daniel Walter on July 3, 2014 at 7:48am: Cool. Mine folded in half so there's no back. I found a cigar box that matches up. it's getting complicated. The woods seem very similar. Is yours an old box?

So what did you do for the bottom of the box, or was it one piece. mine folded so there's no bottom. Very clean, I like it.
