It's a work in progress, I have three of similar types on the go in various stages (I tend to do 2 or 3 of similar at once)  The Tassie Oak can be a little "brittle" with some tear out if your not careful, I usually just "pull cut" the off side and push cut the near side to an approximate depth and then do the full width cut to depth.  The fret saw (Pax) is my one and only "specialised" tool for building these guitars.  It's a fantastic saw and the fret tangs grip in the cut really good!   You can see some of the other tins I have in the pipeline, these Jim Beam tins are slightly larger in width so should be easier to work with.

Looking good so far Graeme, how did you go?, and what saw did you use to cut the frets, I've always found fretting Tas Oak to be problem!.
