Cheers if you flatten out the bottle tops they sound even better..
Anti slip mat glued on bottom as well..

No no no that won't do at all. Far too simple and effective ;-)
I am collecting beer tops (it's a hardship but someone has to do it) for something like this and was envisioning a vertically sliding assembly like you would have for a cymbal.
Your pedal makes a great noise and has so many fewer moving parts.

Not bad for 15min work anyway .. (it goes with my briefcase drum.)

the tops sound better this way up as back to back they sound higher pitched.
