Thanks John, it sounds decent I made it from scratch using the 386 schematics floating around the internet. It has a gain control inside and the volume on the front, nice and simple.

Michael. That looks fantastic. Lots of questions. What does it sound like (any chance of hearing it)? Did you build the circuit yourself or did you buy it made up? If made up then what make? Keep up the great work.
