I thought I would post these Pics in case anyone is interested. These are the tools I use to make bottleneck slides. The far left Pic is a shot of my wet lapidary grinders. The middle Pic is my wet band saw. The right pic is a chuck and arbor assembly on a motor.

The wet band saw was the best method I have tried for cutting the necks. It cuts all the way through with very minimal chipping, which saves a lot of grinder work. I actually have 4 wet flat lapidary grinders set up with grits, 180 , 360 , 600 , and 1200. It is actually easy to change out the different lap disks on one grinder. But I was making a lot of slides and I needed to speed things up. finally I would finish the slides off on a homemade arbor assembly with a spinning chuck. I have several different size plugs. these were 2 rubber expanding washers, one on each end of a bolt that I slip into the chuck and spin. Here i used rubbing compound, polishing compound and cerium oxide. Depending on how polished I would like them(time permiting).

Hopefully someone can use this information. I needed to take a break. I still have tons of bottles I plan to make slides out of when I get some leisure time.
