Go to your local cigar shop and ask for some wooden boxes, Padron are pretty nice. I pay $2.00 each here but they are worth it. Pick up your red oak from Home depot. They will also cut your lengths to 36", 38" or 40" what ever you use. I buy 1x6 and 1x8 planks and have them cut to 36". I then cut the planks to 1.6" with a table saw because it's hard to find straight 1x2 there. Just a thought of info you may need.
