Aiden's First Build

My 14 year old Grandson Aiden said he would like to learn to play guitar this year so I offered to let him borrow one of my CBGs and amp to play around with. He really enjoyed it so I offered to let him choose any of my guitars to keep. He said he would really like to build one himself (with my help). I recently retired and jumped at the chance to do a project with him! He learned a lot and ended up with a first class CBG! Very proud of him! The guitar looks and plays great!I have to give him an A!

I apologize, I haven't been active on  Cigar Box Nation for around 8 or more years. I recently retired and am getting back into CBGs. I am having trouble navigating this site, uploading, saving videos pictures, etc. Trying to get it figured out and struggling a bit but catching on slowly. If i've done everything correctly you may be able to see and hear the video I made right after we completed the build and plugged it in for the first time. It has a piezo inside the box under the hard tail and a single coil pickup inside the box near the neck. I was impressed with the sound quality!
