The Box is a $3 Leather & Wood Photo Album from a local Charity Shop, the Pickup is an Ebay Chinese 8.82k - Silver Foil Single Coil, the Neck is Recycled Hardwood ???, the Fret Board is White Oak, the Bridge and Nut are Recycled Piano bits, Neck is finished with Jarrah Stain & Furniture Restoring Wax.
This was my first (and successful !!) attempt at transferring Ink Jet images to Wood.
I don’t know what I done right with this one as I don’t normally use the 3 high strings on my builds, maybe it’s the combination of lighter strings with this particular Pickup, but it does sound mighty good.
The name & photo are in relation to my “Dear Mom”, the relevance of the coins are, the 1924 Headstock Penny was the year she was born, and the Tailpiece 1984 One Dollar, was the year, sadly when she left us, far too young.
