Thanks, Jerry.  I really like the way I do it.  I don't have them assemble folks and me perform.  I go at breakfast time when many of them are at their sharpest.  I go table to table and do a song or more often two.   After a couple months doing it, I know the folks that will sing and  I sit next to them.   Amazing Grace and You Are My Sunshine are their faves.

I'm jealous UJ .,.,too long since I've been to open mike night, a jam session or band practice.,.,playing out is always good stuff and keeps us on our toes so to speak.,.,Keep up the good work.,.,!!

Hunh.  Good info and it sounds like it's going to be very good.

Just back from playing at a nursing home.  I need to learn a couple more sing alongs.   Maybe My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean and Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah.

Sound holes and a pickup are next.,.,no truss-rod, but the neck is quartersawn.,.,black walnut and chestnut bridge.,,.I leveled the frets before the zero fret went in.,.,low action with no buzzes or dead spots.,.,actually plays great.,,.the no taper neck just gives it the feel of a classical guitar for about the 1st five frets.,.,zero radius FB makes for fast play.,,.i'd like to scallop the fingerboard, but I may just leave well enough alone.,a scalloped 6er is on the "to do" list.,,.

It takes a little getting used to, the FB is 2" wide. I do need to shave the neck, it's pretty fat.

Jerry, that is interesting.   I kind of want a home made 6, but lack the skills to make a tapered neck.   This straight neck looks fine.   I mostly play up by the tuners anyway.  How is it to play?

Thanks!! Still have to add a pickup and sound holes, and build a nice bridge, but it's coming along.
