This is the guitar that I used on my video of House of the Rising Sun - http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/house-of-the-rising-sun-1
It has a dark 601 box, parana pine neck, rubber wood fretboard and bridge (bottom part or the bridge is cedar), ebony nut and saddle, copper side markers, gold plated tuners, two piezo discs sandwiched in the bridge. More pics and info on my website at www.roadkillmusic.co.uk

Hi Uncle John, Hippy Chip and Richard.

Thanks for the comments. Uncle John. I have a large black Rocky Patel box and I intend to do a beech fretboard and bridge on that one. Same sort of idea but more so.

Thanks all for the encouragement.

John

Like the box John, but like what you did with it more.  I would not have thought of contrasting those woods.  It works.  Nice restraint on the sound hole.  Just right.

that's beautiful, as a 16-18 year old i cut, planed and machined the lovely coloured parana pine, haven't seen that stuff in years.

when are you gonna build a rat rod?   ;)

once again beautiful clean job and sounds.....!

Hi Wes.

Thanks for the comment. I haven't seen many boxes just like this. All the others I have seen have been light top and bottom and dark on the edges. This is dark all over and has a very striking grain.

Thanks again.

John
