Hi John,

thanks for your comments and your opinion.
The strips of wood were from a depot that a friend was dismantling, so probably were the cheapest possible, and even I had to pull out some staples. That's why I used a tinted laquer.

I just started with some info shared here and in some other websites, and looking the guitars I have at home.
The heels, and many other parts are not 100% uniform, but it's true that there are quite succeeded, just checkin if they were pleasant to the hand/arm when sliding/gliding/sliping.

Minimum bought pieces was my goal, though finally spent more than expected investing in some tools that I am going to take benefit from now. I have several projects in mind and lots of things to improve.

Kind regards

Roger, if you make it strong pine is fine!   This looks well done and it looks like pine or spruce.

Hi John,

I am afraid I don't know what they are.
I had those strips/battens of wood at home since a few years ago and finally decided to give them another life.
I supose they are pine.

As beginner, I've decided to work with some of the materials I have before to buy more "noble" woods for neck and fretboard. At the present time, I'm trying to learn and practise about the process.

Roger the heels on these guitars are sure nice.   Is this one pine or spruce?
