The tuners are probably OK for nylon type strings but, as someone else says, they wont stand up to metal strings. So limited to uke's I think but a brilliant 3D printing use in any event!

Surprisingly, they actually work AGP! I tried a design I found a year ago and it was a failure, but motivated me to come up with the tailpiece tuner design. These tuners are not suitable for steel strings, but they seem promising for my surf (fishing line) CBGs! And the price is right. Fishing line strings have their own sound and are easy on the fingers and the 3D printed frets. Still experimenting with line weights and scale lengths. It’s fun trying out new ideas.

I would like to take credit for the design Brian, but …. I found them trolling YouTube. I did have to modify them to fit in a 3/8” hole and I removed one of the attach screws. They are working reasonably well with lower tension fishing line. Time will tell how long they hold up. I’m optimistic. They do make for a light headstock.
