I think i'll put two small sound holes on either side of the neck. I have a "Down Under" pickup to ride the center. The cutout is deep enough for the pup with small modifications. I like having the top vibrate free of the pass through neck. I've got Sitka Spruce for the top. It's a Martin guitar factory second. Just the right size.

I like that design, I can see it open up the sound, plus accomodate a sound-hole in the center, with the possibility of using a commercial sound-hole pickup! Beautiful fretboard work, too.
