definately crossed my mind, especially with a cub there...it was fall and they were very busy shovelling huckleberries in thier mouth...i think that kept them from being interested in us....oh and bone-ified, we aren't allowed to hunt grizzlies here, i never seen any reason to hunt brown or black bears either though...i enjoy watching them too much....take care guys, thanks for the comments

Totally cool shot Carl Suta. But for me if they were that close it wouldn't be called hiking anymore. It'd be called filling my shorts with bi-products and hoping the cridders don't see me run screaming like a little girl.
