cobbled together from 4 guitars, a piano bench, bone nut, single coil pup, short trapeze tailpiece, and an antique drawer pull----should i try another?

Nice. Unique design, and sometimes that's hard with lap steels. Usually the details make the difference. I make simple ones but I find I keep making them because I can, and because I want to experiment with different tunings without having to re-string each time.
