 Thank you Uncle John. I love building the pickups. I get almost as much satisfaction out of them as I do the guitars themselves. I really love your work, Uncle John. BTW, I have a real Uncle John in Arkansas. Like yourself, a cool guy. 

 I made four or five of the tailpieces out of a length of very corroded copper pipe. Probably about fifty years old. I cut them out with tin-snips and filed to final shape. The only power tools I use in building are a hand drill motor and sometimes rechargeable sander to get the worst of things. I have most hand power tools, but after using them during about twenty years of machine-shop work, I prefer the quiet.

 As far as the wheelbarrow goes, it's my mother-in-law's and I got dibs. (Grin)

Nice Partagas, Ray and I sure like your ho-made pickups.   Looks like a nice ho-made tail piece too.  I make my own out of scrap metal.  That copper looks great.  Same for the jack housing.

Please send that wheelbarrow to me, I think I want to make a bass out of it.
